No Homebrew for PSP-3000?

One of the most serious problem of Sony is unauthorized hacking of the PSP. Hackers managed to run unsigned code which gave them the ability to revert to an unprotected version of the firmware and later on to install completely custom pirate firmware. With this custom pirate firmware they were able to play pirated PSP games downloaded from the internet.

Developers like Ready at Dawn and Capcom have lost more than 50% of their prospective revenues to software piracy and there are other software producers lost more than $4 million per week because of piracy. I bet they are not very happy losing that much money.

How to defeat piracy is one of the biggest concerns of Sony. They may have been planning to do some drastic changes to stop homebrew on the new PSP-3000 model. There will be great changes with the new PSP-3000 aside from what is already confirmed changes to the overall design of the PSP-3000. The biggest changes to the handheld will probably to fight homebrew hackers. How? The new PSP-3000 will probably have a new battery pack and reboot system that makes “Pandora” attack useless. The new PSP-3000 will surely have some new aggressive anti-piracy measures to stop hackers reverse engineering the handheld device.

Will Sony's security measurements be enough to stop people from hacking the new PSP-3000 device? I dont think this will stop people like Dark Alex to try penetrate the new PSP-3000 and there are many people/hackers out there that have great enthusiasm for the new device. They are very eager to discover how they can use the device to run codes such as emulators, chat clients and most of all to pirate psp games.

There is a very extremely skilled hackers out there ready to buy the new PSP-3000 and try to be the first one to uncover whatever hardware protections Sony decides to implement with the new PSP-3000 handheld. Its only a matter of time until a hacker breaks the secrets of the new PSP-3000.

PSP-3000

Sony Computer Entertainment will going to launch a new PSP (PlayStation Portable) which will be available in piano black, pearl white and Mystic Silver colors. The new PSP-3000 has a lot of new cool features to watch for. One of the new features of PSP-3000 is an advanced LCD for high resolution display. The new PSP will be available in stores in Japan, Asia, North America and Europe from October 2008. Now im thinking how to ditch my PSP slim. lol

The new PSP-3000 will still have the basic design and functionality of the current "slim and light" PSP but the image quality on the new LCD screen of PSP-3000 is said to be dramatically enhanced and aside from that they also added a built-in microphone.

The new PSP-3000 system is said to have the highest-level contrast ratio, response time and wider colour output possible on a portable LCD screen. So expect to see all your movies and photos in a more vibrant colors on the new PSP's high resolution 4.3 inch wide screen. One of the features i really like with the new PSP-3000 LCD screen is it's anti-reflection technology which enables users to see the screen more clearly in well-lit places and even outdoors. I cant play my PSP slim on very well lit places especially outdoors with my friends and i think this is the best upgrade the PSP will have. The built-in microphone will be used for games that utilize a microphone and other communication tool like Skype.

They also expanded the video-out port to output gameplay in interlace format which will allow us users to enjoy games on non-progressive TVs by using separately sold cables. If you are one of those gamers that doesnt have a progressive TV then i bet you havent tried to play your "slim and light" PSP on TV.

So what do you think? Are you ready to ditch your PSP slim and grab the new PSP-3000 series? Me? I am still thinking about it coz ditching my old PSP means spending my hard earned cash...

I know most of you guys have already watched Paris Hilton movie where you can see Paris Hilton in bikini and other videos in the gallery of Paris Hilton. But to most of you this will surely be the first time you will ever see Paris Hilton reading a book. YES, Paris is reading a book and not just any ordinary book but a book of Sun Tzu’s Art of War. This book was used for centuries by generals and businessmen to overcome seemingly impassable obstacles and dominate their enemies.

I dont know if Paris Hilton is a geek deep down inside. Or this new Paris Hilton photo is just another marketing strategy trying to make people think that she also has a geekness somewhere insider her and make people somehow forget what most of us have think that she's "a ______ blonde". Well I really like what she did in the presidential campaign spoof a few weeks ago and I'm sure many people from the blogosphere has sympaty toward her and with this new Paris Hilton picture there will surely some people that will say that she must not be so dumb after all. I heard that she did the whole “commercial” without cue cards… the little darling memorized those big words and delivered them with a poise.

Problem Loading Page

Today, I've been trying to get on several websites but I always end up getting "Problem Loading Page" "Server not found" error messages in my Firefox browser and "Page cannot be displayed" "Cannot find server" in IE. I was using the current version of Firefox so I switched to earlier version which is 2.xx but I still get the same error messages so obviously It was not because of the browser. I've tried accessing the websites through my bookmarks and other available links. I even cleared my temp files, caches, etc. I'm able to see other websites but i need to refresh the browser several times just to see the website. Since I consistently get this message error while trying to browse website I decided to search the net for answers and here's what solved my problem.


Here's an easy step by step solution to message error problem that i had. Thanks to the guy/girl who shared this wonderful info.

1. Click on Start, then select "Control Panel".
2. Double click on "Network and Dial-up Connections".
3. Right Click on the LocalNet Icon, and select properties.
4. Click on the tab labeled "Networking".
5. In the white box labeled "Components checked are used by this connection" double click on "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)".
6. Make sure the option "Obtain DNS server addresses automaticly" is selected.
7. Click OK

Then i went to:
Start
click Run
type: cmd
click ok

a black window will pop up. All you have to do next is to type: ipconfig /flushdns
then Restart your computer. You will be able to surf the net normally now.

If this dont solve your problem then i guess you need to check the internet for other things you can try. But make sure you know what you are doing or follow the directions properly.

Are you cuil?

The Google alternative Cuil (pronounced "cool") has already debuted. Cuil is led by former Google search execs and I know that there are still somewhere out there that thinks that we need an alternative to Goggle. Cuil's got mixed reaction on its first week. There were even cases that Cuil's search results were often weird and off-base and if you are someone like me who is curious about what the heck is CUIL then I bet you too tried to search for your favorite websites and got disappointed with the site crashed on launch day. Well I dont know if all your Cuil's queries gave you a fast and high-quality search results like Goggle does but I am pretty disappointed when I tried Cuil. What's got me interested about Cuil is the founders behind it. But in spite of this... Im still giving Cuil a chance... They're still new and I bet after some time in the Search Engine Arena... they will be able to come up with a better algorithms or high-quality search results like Goggle does.

*update: I tried searching for my blog again in Cuil but sadly didnt find my blog in the first 10 pages T_T
