RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication" and used to publish frequently updated content such as blog entries, news headlines or podcasts. RSS document which is also called a "feed" or a "web feed"contains a summary of content of a website, blog entries etc. With RSS you can keep up with your favorite websites in an automated manner which is a lot easier than checking them manually. A "feed reader" or an "aggregator." is used to read the RSS subscriptions. You can subscribe to a feed by entering the feed's link into the "aggregator". Another way is by clicking an RSS icon in the website. The reader will checks your subscribed feeds regularly for new content and download any updates it may find.
